Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, auditing rates and revenues, and supporting collection efforts. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage high-volume transactions, and the ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Audit rates, dates, and revenue postings to ensure accuracy

  • Review contracts and supporting documentation

  • Process billing in a timely and accurate manner

  • Research and correct revenue discrepancies

  • Monitor payment due dates and follow up on outstanding balances

  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain required documentation

  • Process charge postings and account adjustments

  • Reconcile group accounts and large-volume transactions

  • Analyze system reports and spreadsheets to support audits

  • Respond to inquiries from internal departments and external contacts

  • Support collection efforts as needed

  • Perform data entry and maintain organized records

  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related accounts receivable or accounting experience

  • Associate degree or higher preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience working with financial or ERP systems preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

  • Frequent use of hands for computer and office equipment operation

  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone

  • Visual ability to review detailed reports and data
