Overview:
Come join Team Atlantis! As Banquet Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising Team Members engaged in all aspects of a banquets department by performing the following duties.
Responsible for making sure all policies and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Assists and works closely with management to ensure success of the events on a daily basis.
- Prepare and administers coaching and counseling’s to Team Members in the absence of manager or assistant manager.
- Monitors and adjusts staffing levels on a daily basis.
- Gives management input on purchasing equipment for department.
- Gives management input on scheduling and staffing needs.
- Conducts pre-shift meetings after checking BEO’s for changes
- Inspects all rooms to ensure 100% accuracy and a pristine environment for the Guests.
- Ensure that all equipment is stored and secured in designated storage areas.
- Ensures that side work sheets and checklists are posted.
- Coordinates with kitchen, bakery and audio visual to ensure all requirements are met and in proper working order.
- Responsible for training of new Team members and any follow-up training.
- Resolve Guest complaints.
- Conducts all of Banquet Manager duties in manager’s absence.
- Directly supervises 15-20 Team Members in the Banquet Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Other duties as assigned my management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word processing software, MS Outlook and MS Excel spreadsheet software. Knowledge of timekeeping systems and purchasing software a plus.
