Overview

Under direction of the Benefits Supervisor, the Leave Administrator is responsible for the daily review, adjudication and tracking of Leaves of Absence and ADA accommodations. The Leave Administrator will assist with new hire health plan enrollment. The Leave Administrator will ensure the organization remains compliant with all applicable federal, state and local employment related laws.

The Leave Administrator, as with all members of the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Team, provides excellent customer service to all Team Members, is expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.The Leave Administrator shares in the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa support of the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, and consistently performs all functions in a fashion that inspires and motivates others to actively pursue them.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary contact for all company Team Members requiring a leave of Absence or for any ADA accommodation evaluation.
  • Responsible for leave of absence programs to include personal leaves, FMLA and military leaves, regarding:

* Eligibility evaluation

* Documentation evaluation

* Accrued time off and insurance enrollment verification

* Return-to-work documentation evaluation

* Report and tracking updates

  • Updates payroll and benefits systems with Leave of Absence information.
  • Prepares and maintains Team Member Leave and ADA files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
  • Completes verifications to include QMCSO’s, SSA documents, disability forms, etc.
  • Provides back up support to Benefits Specialist on leave of absence programs to include personal leaves, FMLA and military leaves, regarding:

* Eligibility evaluation

* Documentation evaluation

* Accrued time off and insurance enrollment verification

* Return-to-work documentation evaluation

* Report and tracking updates

  • In Coordination with the Benefits/Risk Manager, responsible for return to work initiatives for Team Members on FMLA, LOA, and Workers Compensation
  • Assists with Human Resources projects as assigned.
  • Assist, advise, and counsel Team Members and dependents on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions)
  • On an as needed basis, provide back-up support to the human resource representatives at the front desk.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with department managers, Team Members, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resource functions.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, strong knowledge of MS Office products, and HRIS systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years in Human Resources or related experience
  • Ability to speak conversational Spanish preferred
