Job Summary:**
The Room Service Sales Agent is responsible for accurately and efficiently taking room service orders, upselling menu items, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering a professional and courteous experience.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Answer all incoming room service calls promptly and professionally, adhering to established service standards.
* Accurately take guest food and beverage orders, confirming all details and special requests.
* Possess a thorough knowledge of the room service menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
* Actively upsell and suggestive sell menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
* Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with kitchen and delivery staff to ensure timely and correct order fulfillment.
* Resolve guest complaints or concerns regarding room service orders in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
* Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a customer service, sales, or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong sales and upselling abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
* Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods.
