Overview

The Slot Tech II will perform technical work in the repair, installation, and maintenance of slot machines and related equipment.Must have a high commitment to guest service, be detail oriented and highly adaptable to be able to oversee projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to explain games to guests and jackpot payouts –strong "floor presence" is necessary and ability to provide exceptional Guest Service.
  • Maintain operation of slot machines at all times with minimal downtime
  • Will constantly perform preventative maintenance on slot machines to ensure proper and optimum performance levels.
  • Assist Slot Floor personnel when needed and requested by Slot Shift Managers and/or Assistant Slot Managers.
  • Perform software conversions and slot machine moves as directed by the Slot Technical Manager.
  • Strong slot repair skills (Ability to complete all PM's, diagnose and repair 95% of all issues)
  • Strong maintenance issues for machine locks (slots/kiosks/cans)
  • Strong maintenance skills for all types of slot machines
  • Expert assistance with guest issues and questions
  • Strong slot system skills
  • Strong team work within all slots and other departments
  • Expert in trouble shooting all slot cabinet types
  • Able to RAM clear most slots
  • In depth understanding of progressive controllers and & logic use
  • In depth understanding of all player tracking system

All slot machines must be available at all times for guest play with the exception of:

  • Scheduled machine conversions / repairs
  • Machine caps for known guests as authorized by the slot shift manager
  • Out of service games awaiting parts.

Qualifications

  • Experience of slot machine maintenance and the support of other slot operations duties.
  • Electronics background and knowledge of computer software and hardware required.
  • 3 years’ experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand, follow and give directions to complete tasks in their specific manner.
  • Ability to work with Team Members and Management as well as be able to perform assigned duties without supervision.
  • Knowledge of basic math is required.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills are a preferred requirement.
  • Knowledge of slot systems and proficient in use of computers.
  • Gaming License required
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and hear.
  • Walk entire shift, stand for long periods of time or entire shift, walk up and down stairs.
